Singing Men of North Central Texas
"From the very first moment that I heard of this evangelistic project, I and my colleagues were totally for it. There was no decision to make - come and help us reach our nation. You have a full assurance of our cooperation; area pastors, individual churches, and our people open their arms to the Singing Men of North Central Texas and Michael Gott in 2010. This initial itinerary is to allow the choir to see the frame of the mission, to watch its development, and to begin now to pray for each detail as God unfolds the plan. The main objectives in schedule planning are to maximize effective ministry and to care for the needs of the choir and support team. Cruising and port times have already been set by the ship’s operations department and can be adjusted only slightly. Most plans were completed in May, 2009. Only a few changes are expected after this point.

Tuesday, April 20 various Transfers by private coaches from Kiev to shipside in Odessa, beginning at 9:30 a.m. 4:00 - 7:00 Embarkation. Welcome aboard Viking Lomonosov. 4:00 - 5:00 Snack in Restaurant Kiev on middle deck. 5:00 - 6:30 Unpack and explore the ship and port. 6:30 - 8:00 Dinner in Restaurant Kiev (middle deck) and Restaurant Odessa (upper deck). 8:30 or 9:15 Meet Henry Seiler, your cruise director, for Lomonosov familiarization in Sky Bar. Wednesday, April 21 7:00–9:00 Buffet breakfast in Restaurant Kiev on middle deck. (7:00 or 8:20 devotional) Because there is not enough seating in either restaurant for everyone to be together at one time, there will be a very important devotional/information meeting at 7:00 and 8:20 every day in Restaurant Odessa. Team members will be able to sign up for the time of their choice as long as there are seats available for that time in the meeting room. 10:00–12:00 Group A - Bus tour of historic Odessa. Groups B, C, D - Free time to climb the famous Potemkin Steps of Odessa and walk into the Old City. 12:30 - 2:00 Lunch in Restaurant Kiev. (Lomonosov lunches begin with buffet salad bar. Entree and dessert are ordered at the table.) 2:00 - 4:00 Group B - Bus tour of historic Odessa. Groups A, C, D - Free time to explore Odessa, shop, and hand out invitations to the concert. 4:00 - 5:00 Snack in Restaurant Kiev. 4:30 English and Greeting teams transfer to concert site. 5:00 Choir and all remaining teams transfer to concert site. 7:00 Concert: First Baptist Church of Odessa. 8:30 Depart for ship and dinner in Restaurants Kiev and Odessa. Thursday, April 22 7:00 – 9:00 Buffet breakfast in Restaurant Kiev. (7:00 or 8:20 devotional) 10:00 – 12:00 Group C - Bus tour of historic Odessa. Groups A, B, D - Go with Advertising Team to hand out invitations to this evening's concert in the Philharmonic. 12:30 – 2:00 Lunch in Restaurant Kiev. 2:00 – 4:00 Group D - Bus tour of historic Odessa. Groups A, B, C - Free time to walk in the center and hand out invitations. 4:00 – 5:00 Snack in Restaurant Kiev. 5:00 Transfer to concert site. 7:00 Concert: Philharmonic Concert Hall. 8:30 Transfer to ship for dinner in Restaurants Kiev and Odessa. 10:00 Set sail for Kherson. Friday, April 23 7:00 – 9:00 Buffet breakfast in Restaurant Kiev. (7:00 or 8:20 devotional) 10:00 Arrival in Kherson. Morning activities to be announced. 12:30 - 2:00 Lunch in Restaurant Kiev. 2:00 - 4:00 Afternoon walk to the city center to advertise evening concert. 4:00 - 5:00 Snack in Restaurant Kiev. 4:30 English and Greeting Teams transfer to concert site. 5:00 Choir and all remaining teams transfer to concert site. 7:00 Concert: Kherson Christian Church. 8:30 Bus transfer to ship for dinner in Restaurants Kiev and Odessa. 10:00 Set sail for Zaporozhye (the Detroit of Ukraine). Saturday, April 24 7:00 – 9:00 Buffet breakfast. (7:00 or 8:20 devotional)
Enjoy a day of sailing the Dnieper River. 10:00 Russian lesson with Jane. 11:00 Ukrainian history lesson with Henry Seiler. 12:30 - 2:00 Lunch in Restaurant Kiev. 3:00 Arrival in Zaporozhye.
Immediate walk to concert hall, dressed for concert. (Concert Hall is a 5- minute walk from the dock.) 4:00 Afternoon Concert: Glinka Concert Hall. 5:30 Dinner in Restaurants Kiev and Odessa. 6:30 English Team meets students at Glinka Concert Hall. 7:15 Choir and all remaining teams walk to concert site. 8:00 Evening Concert: Glinka Concert Hall.
After concert walk back to ship. 9:30 Explore Zaporozhye or early evening in. 12 (midnight) Set sail for Dnepropetrovsk. Sunday, April 25 7:00 – 9:00 Buffet breakfast in Restaurant Kiev.
Preparation for worship with church. 9:00 Transfer to Central Baptist Church for morning worship. 12:00 Transfer to ship. 12:30 - 2:00 Lunch in Restaurant Kiev. 2:30 Transfer to concert site. 4:00 & 6:00 Concerts: Central Baptist Church. 4:30 English Team meets students in fellowship hall for lesson and 6:00 concert. 7:30 Transfer to ship for dinner in Restaurants Kiev and Odessa. 12 (midnight) Set sail for Kremenchuk. Monday, April 26 7:00 - 9:00 Buffet breakfast in Restaurant Kiev. (7:00 or 8:20 devotional) 10:00 Russian lesson with Jane. 11:00 - 12:30 Team meetings and free time. 1:00 - 3:00 Lunch in Restaurant Kiev. 3:00 Arrive in Kremenchuk.
Explore the port area, hand out concert invitations, and eat an ice cream. 5:30 Transfer to concert site. 7:00 Concert: Pertrovsky Palace Concert Hall. 8:30 Transfer to ship for dinner in Restaurants Kiev and Odessa. Because of a drawbriddge up-river from Kremenchuk, Lomonosov will not depart for Kiev until noon Tuesday. Tuesday, April 27 7:00 - 9:00 Buffet breakfast in Restaurant Kiev. (7:00 or 8:20 devotional)

Times to be announced. 7:00 - 8:30 Ukrainian dinner in Restaurants Kiev and Odessa. 9:00 & 10:00 Evening talent show by Lomonosov crew and Singing Men of North Central Texas. Wednesday, April 28 7:00 - 9:00 Buffet breakfast in Restaurant Kiev. (7:00 or 8:20 devotional) 10:00 Arrive in Kiev, Ukraine's capital. 10:00 - 12:00 Bus tour of Kiev, visiting Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square, site of the Orange Revolution). 12:30 - 2:00 Lunch on board. 3:00 - 5:00 Afternoon free to make final purchases on Ukrainian arts street near port. Get a snack at McDonald's across the street from our ship. 5:00 Transfer for choir and all teams to concert site and walk to nearby metro station to hand out invitations to concert. 7:00 Concert: Svyatoshino Baptist Church. 8:30 Transfer to ship for dinner in Restaurants Kiev and Odessa. Thursday, April 29 7:00 - 9:00 Buffet breakfast in Restaurant Kiev. (7:00 or 8:20 devotional) 10:00 - 1:00 Exciting walking tour of Kiev with 20 young Ukrainians who want to show you their city (a van tour for those who prefer to ride will also have a guide). 1:00 - 2:30 Lunch in Restaurant Kiev. 3:00 Choir and all teams transfer to concert site. 4:30 & 6:30 Concerts: Dom Evangeliya Baptist Church. 5:00 English Team meets students in fellowship hall for lesson and 6:30 concert. 8:00 Transfer to ship for final dinner in Restaurants Kiev and Odessa. 10:00 Gather in Restaurant Kiev to thank God for all He has done.
